Well, October is almost over! So much for getting back into the swing of things!
We have had a very busy October. With Daddy being gone pretty much for the entire month, things have been really busy. Especially since we had the SIL and cousins here for a visit! It was great having them here, especially Sofia who made a lot of things a ton easier on me with Kinnerly.
We did a bunch of things with the kids – mainly for the kids.
We went to Bois de Lutins which is a really cool giant playground that has treehouses and nets all over the place, huge slides and ziplines to go crazy on.
I think that was one of the first activities. After a day and a half of rest because of the jet lag, everyone needed to get out of the house and play!
The next day, we went to my favorite little village, Valbonne, for some lunch and to wander around a little bit. The kids weren’t too impressed, they only really liked the toy store, but we had lunch and a cafe gourmand, my favorite desert of all time (of which I never got a single bite!). Next time I’m going to order 4 to “share”. Ha!
We took a road trip out into the French countryside as well. We went to the Pont du Gard, the Roquefort Cheese Caves and Carcassone. It was quite a bit of driving for 3 days, but it was a lot of fun. I wish we could’ve stayed longer, but squishing 4 kids into the backseat of the car wasn’t too much fun for them either, so we kept it to 3 days.
The weather was great most of the time. I think it only rained once. and it was night time and we were home.
We had a beach day and we also had a Marineland day!
Marineland is like a mini-Sea World. It was great.
I was so happy to get a suitcase full of American things too! Candy, halloween decorations, handmade cheese boards, Captain Morgan! Oh, the list goes on and on!
It is still warm here. When will winter come? I can’t wait! At least some leaves are falling off the trees – not many, but a few. The kids are wearing long sleeves just to keep the mozzies away – ha!
That’s all for now, Kinnerly needs some lunch and a nap.
